Submit products for evaluation

Timeline

Product applications can be submitted continuously. Processing of the application may take 1-2 months.

Company registration

Before sending an application, companies have to get registered with FiBL. Only companies who sell the product in Italy are eligile for registration. The registration is effected through filling the distributor registration form and submitting it to FiBL. The required form can be found below.

Admission criteria for the Italian Input List

The product evaluation is carried out according to the basic admission criteria of the European Input List and the supplemental admission criteria of the Italian Input List. 
The basic admission criteria for the European Input List can be found on the website of the European Input List. 
The supplemental admission criteria for the Italian Input List are the following: 

Fertilizers, soil conditioners, crop management tools, biostimulants and plant strengtheners
Products for crop health

Fees

Evaluation fee: EUR 250.00 per product. This fee is for every product which is evaluated, including products which are found to be non-compliant and therefore cannot be listed.
Listing fee: EUR 150.00 per product per year.

Product claims for products listed on the Italian Input List

For products which are included in the Italian Input List, the following claims may be used on the product packaging and label, in PR materials and on websites:

In English: 
(1) ‘approved by FiBL for use in organic farming in Italy’, or
(2) ‘registered in the Italian Input List for organic farming’

In Italian: 
(1) 'approvato dal FiBL per l'uso in agricoltura biologica in Italia'
(2) ‘inserito nell`Italian Input List per l’agricoltura biologica’,

Use of names and logos

The names and logos of FiBL, Federbio as well as the EU organic logo and the logos of private label organisations must not be used on the product packaging and label, in PR materials or on websites.

Inclusion into the European Input List

Products listed on the Italian Input List will be automatically also included into the European Input List throughout its next update.
